Pair of 18th Century Copperplate Engravings by Johann Volckamer

Pair of 18th Century Copperplate Engravings by Johann Volckamer. These are from the German Botanical book of engravings titles 'Nurnbergishe Hesperides" which was published between 1708 and 1714. These engravings both depict lemons. One is titled "limon Zucherino Dolce" and the other is titled "Limon Agostarol da Portugal Dolce". The colors are strong and unfaded and there are only a few tiny foxing spots on the early, laid paper. They come under glass with matching frames and French mats.

Measures approximately 16 3/4" by 21 1/2" each.
