19th Century Cast Iron Safe

19th Century Cast Iron Safe. This unique piece retains the mystery of what it was used for. Well built and in original condition, this safe was definitely designed for a specific, yet unkown use. Possibly as an Alms Box or Ballot Box. On the front is a lockable drop down door with a brass knob. At the top is a keyhole for the original working key.

Measures approximately 8 3/8" long by 3 1/2" wide by 6 1/2" tall.
