1880's Minton Fern Spiral Majolica Serving Bowl
This antique Majolica Pottery covered bowl was a small tureen made by Minton circa 1880's. It has an openwork floral handle and a spiral cover and base featuring ten fern fronds. This impressive Majolica bowl features blue, green, purple, lilac, robins egg blue, white and yellow tin glaze details.
In 2015 another example of this piece was estimated to be worth four to five thousand dollars. It sold at Christie's Auction House for $10,650.00!
This piece has one tiny glaze chip on the top edge of the bowl but is otherwise in perfect condition.
Measures approximately 10" long by 10" wide by 7" high.
